Roller Hockey

The UCLA Roller Hockey club sports team will be competing in the National Collegiate Roller Hockey Association, joining over one hundred other colleges across the country. Roller, Ice, and dual hockey players are welcome to join! The sport of Roller Hockey has seen tremendous growth over the past decade, especially in Southern California. UCLA will be the 5th UC school to join the NCRHA, following UCSB, UCSD, Berkeley, and UCI. Besides the obvious, roller hockey differs from ice hockey in four main ways: 4v4 format instead of 5v5, the use of a lighter plastic puck, contact is allowed except for full-on body checking, and there is no offsides rule which allows players to utilize the entire rink at all times during the game.
