BEAT at UCLA

BEAT at UCLA Logo

At BEAT, we promote awareness and prevention of a multitude of heart diseases and related pathologies for a better understanding of medicine and healthcare relating to cardiology and beyond. At BEAT, we aim to immerse students in transformative experiences that extend beyond conventional learning. Through impactful research studies, students will gain hands-on exposure to patient care and clinical information, contributing to a better understanding of cardiovascular health. At BEAT, students get to work with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to communicate and bridge the gap of misinformation surrounding heart health. We are committed to conducting impactful research studies, offering students unparalleled opportunities to volunteer and actively contribute to cutting-edge cardiovascular research. By serving as research assistants alongside esteemed cardiologists, students will not only deepen their technical understanding but also develop a research methodological mindset. This holistic approach emphasizes effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving, ensuring that our members contribute meaningfully to cardiovascular research and emerge as well-rounded individuals equipped to drive innovation in healthcare. BEAT aims to establish a networking community between undergraduate students, graduates, and medical professionals. Through our research and shadowing initiatives, we seek to assist in health-related events set up by UCLA Health, furthering academic and professional objectives for our members.
